We are strong alone and even stronger together...
We are the shadows that can never be snagged...
I am, the dark...

Standing in the almost pitch darkness, Leo's chest moved ever so calmly. He had done this before so many times but it always felt new and a little different. Lifting his hood up he zipped up his hoodie until it went over his lips, let out a sigh, and then lunged forward. He raced through the dark, leaping over boxes and skidding under conveyer belts. Then he would run up a wall and jump over to a low hanging bar only to swing up to the second level of the room. Landing ever so gracefully Leo sped forward then took a sharp left turn. Dodging more debris he spotted the turn off that either went left or right but part of the ramp straight ahead had fallen long ago and the gap was a good ten feet long to the rest of it. With a powerful leap, Leo soared through the air with both arms and legs still in running motion until he landed on the other end and kept moving without missing a beat. He made his way a few more stories up until he was heading towards a wall. Without hesitation he jumped at it, ran up it for five or six steps, and sprung backwards with legs erect and arms stretched out to each side. The breeze that flew through his hair was cool as he came closer and closer to the main floor until he was caught by a pile of mattresses.
Leo locked the door and gave the handle a good tug. This building used to be a factory that manufactured beds and such. The company moved on and it later became a forgotten warehouse. After breaking in through a window, he had found a key in one of the offices and made this both his home and personal playground. No one came around here so he could have all the time he wanted to be alone and uninterrupted. Everyday while staying here he would run around the place doing tricks and what not until he either grew bored or tired; although, he seldom grew weary. Sometimes Leo would travel, but something always drew him back here.
It was his home after all. Why not come back and visit every so often?
Shoving the key in his pocket Leo tread through a few alleyways and then stepped into the bustling city that meant nothing to him. The people, the buildings, and especially the cars that never ceased to make a ruckus, were all insignificant to him.
Only him and the shadows had meaning.
I really want this to get a good start and keep going. This is an attempt at the beginning or maybe even a prologue of a story I have titled Diminished.
In the future (if this does not die) I want to even draw pictures for it so others will be able to see how I depict it. It could even turn into a manga, but who knows.

Please tell me what you think. All feedback is appreciated.

This sounds really interesting! I personally think that some of the sentences might be a bit long for such a fast-paced scene ... but I love the setting and I definitely want to learn more about Leo :)
